Beginners are welcomed! Covering many topics including dropped stitches, fixing holes, and "tinking" back in any project.KNIT YOUR FIRST HAT - 3 Week class: TUESDAYS - Sept 10, 17 and 24th. 5:00 - 6:30pm $65 (Knitting experience required) Learn to knit a beautiful ribbed hat pattern. Options for child and adult sizes.SHAWL-ALONG - 6 Week KNITALONG (KAL): Fridays - Sept 6th through Oct 11th. 5:00 - 6:30pm $70 (Knitting experience required)

Yarns Etc Kids Summer Camp!!!We love encouraging our kids to stay creative and develop a love for yarn-y crafts of all kinds. This helps them use new parts of their brain, improves motor skills, encourages self-expression and is just plain fun!Projects include weaving, crocheting and knitting - all approachable for beginners and those with some experience.
Students will take home finished projects at the end of the week and have a variety of new skills to help them continue the fun at home.
We provide all materials.
Kids should come with snacks and a beverage.
Ages: 8-12yo Max enrollment: 6
Hours: 9:00am - 12pm each day
Cost: $200
Tentative Dates: JULY 8 -12TH

Mary Stowe is the owner of Yarns etc…
She grew up in Greensboro, one of 6 children. She learned to knit at 6 from her mother and grandmothers.
Mary has always had creative and busy hands that knitted, needlepointed, embroidered and sewed. Mary graduated from TheFashion Institute of Technology in New York.
She had many adventures in New York that included working in a Yarn Shop, teaching at FIT and working at Woman’s Day Magazine.
When she relocated to North Carolina, she had the dream of opening a Yarn shop. Her parents, husband and friends all helped make the store a reality.
When her son, Evan, was 8 months old that dream came true with the shop opening in downtown Greensboro.
Other things-
Mary taught Knit Textile design for 6 years at the NCSU college of Textiles.
Mary was on The National Needlework Association board for 5 years.Mary has been a Sales Representative for several different Yarn Companies in the Southeast for the past 10 years.When not at work, Mary enjoys time with her friends and family, spending time at the NC coast, bicycling, reading, and planning the next travel adventure!
